Lennar is working with the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency to provide contract opportunities for work on Parcel A of the Hunters Point Shipyard. - MASTER STREETSCAPE PLAN – March 23, 2011
Lennar Urban is soliciting Qualifications from professional design firms for the purpose of developing a Streetscape Master Plan for the Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point redevelopment project (the “Project”). From the pool of qualified RFQ respondents, a short list of the most qualified firms or design teams will be invited to submit proposals for the preparation of the Streetscape Master Plan. Thus, this solicitation involves a two-step process:
Step 1: RFQ – submission of Qualifications in response to this RFQ.
Step 2: RFP – a short list of the Step 1 respondents will be asked to submit Proposals
The final design firm or design team will be selected upon conclusion of the Step 2 process.
The design team should have experience in designing and overseeing the preparation of design documents for public spaces and the pedestrian realm; and, in particular, demonstrate thoughtfulness and creativity instilling identity into the future new neighborhoods of the Shipyard and Candlestick Point. The selected design firm or team will be chosen by, and contract directly with a joint venture managed by Lennar Urban, the Master Developer of the Hunters Point Shipyard and Candlestick Point redevelopment project. The selection process will also include review and input from relevant public agencies including, but not limited to, the Redevelopment Agency of the City and County of San Francisco (the “Agency”) and the City’s Department of Public Works. The Master Developer will provide direct oversight and management of this scope of work.
