Lennar is working with the community to transform the Hunters Point Shipyard into a vibrant, urban neighborhood and livable green community.
The vision will heal land that has been environmentally impacted for years, create an integrated transit system and network of walkable streets and features sustainable, green building programs.
Nearly one-third of the total space in Phase I is devoted to new parks, trails and public recreation areas. The plan includes smaller neighborhood parks and larger community parks and recreation areas that feature extraordinary views of the city skyline and waterfront.
And for the first time in decades, community members and all San Franciscans will have direct access to southeast San Francisco’s shoreline. The new community will be the first neighborhood in San Francisco powered entirely by clean, reliable public power. These efforts will help make the new community a showcase for the nation.
