Lennar is proud to offer a mentorship program that will support small, emerging Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) construction-related businesses that live or have a primary business address in the BVHP Area.
This program is designed to place established businesses into the MBE/WBE mentorship-protégé program to help explain and promote future community entrepreneurs to start their own businesses.
Qualified mentors in this program will be individuals or construction companies with business experience. Participants in this program, called “protégés,” are given the opportunity to increase the volume of work they are capable of winning in open competition through ongoing mentoring in all aspects of their construction business, including participation in educational seminars.
Alton Byrd of Clear-Focus, Inc. is the Mentorship-Protégé Program Manager who administers the selection of both the mentors and protégés. As the program sponsor, Mr. Byrd chooses members to serve on the program advisory board, contracts a professional service provider and coordinates financial assistance workshops with local financial institutions.
