During Phase 1 of the Shipyard Project, Lennar will provide $225,000 annually in job training and employee assistance services for Bayview-Hunters Point area residents.
These services will be delivered by local organizations that have a successful track record in serving the community. The funds will be directed to four areas:
Organizations will be able to apply for money to fund projects that focus on job training, or provide supportive services, such as childcare, or offer job retention services for newly hired residents.
Lennar is committed to ensuring that innovative and effective job training and employee assistance programs will be an ongoing part of the development of the Hunters Point Shipyard.
