CAC at Mayor’s Reception. On December 18, 2003, Mayor Willie Brown signed the DDA for Phase I redevelopment of the Shipyard.
On December 2, 2003, the San Francisco Redevelopment Commission approved the Horizontal Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) for the Phase 1 Infrastructure Redevelopment of the Hunters Point Shipyard. This Agreement set forth the terms and conditions for the first phase of infrastructure redevelopment. Among the conditions were numerous requirements, known as the Closing Conditions. The Closing Conditions must be satisfied in advance of the City transferring Parcel A to Lennar/BVHP for redevelopment.
In 2005 the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) reviewed the Vertical Disposition and Development Agreement along with Closing Documents pertaining to Community Benefits, Environmental Conditions, Open Space and Streetscape Plans as well as Vertical Development requirements as part of the Closing Conditions approval process.
