Hunters Point Shipyard

COMMUNITY BENEFITS

Construction Assistance Program

Owner Consolidated Insurance Program (OCIP)

Lennar will provide “General Liability Insurance.” Under this coverage, all contractors who successfully bid on Phase 1 contracts are eligible to enroll in OCIP. Note, enrollment does note absorb a contractor from determining if such OCIP coverage is adequate for its business needs and procuring additional coverage if necessary.

Surety Bond

Lennar has waived the requirement for a “Surety Bond” and no contractor working for or with or its affiliates or developers can require such bond. To do so would be a default under this contract.

Technical Assistance

Assists contractors with navigating through the process of contracting for work on the Shipyard. Services include answering project questions, reviewing plans, prequalification applications, workshops and information on OCIP.

The Contractor Liaison Office is located at the project site trailers. Potential bidders can review plans and specs, bid packages, applications and project material. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Workshops

Contractor workshops are designed to address the various phases of the project in addition to matters generally related to the construction industry.

There are specific workshops to address demolition and deconstruction, infrastructure, general construction matters, and the vertical phase of construction.

We have created a Technical Assistance resources list available online and at the contractor liaison office at the Lennar trailer.
